Myron H. Bright

Myron H. Bright (born March 5, 1919) is a United States federal judge.
Bright was born in Eveleth, Minnesota. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1942, rising to the rank of captain by the time of his discharge in 1946. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Minnesota, the latter in 1947. Following graduation, he began practicing in Fargo, North Dakota.
In April 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson nominated Bright to an open seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit to replace Charles Joseph Vogel. Bright has served on the court for forty-six years, having assumed senior status in June 1985.
